emmaluv+2more
DD (entering 4th grade) finished Primary Language Lessons about 1/2 way through 3rd grade. She did well, but hated it (lots of writing, which she hates, and she found it dull). I really liked it because of the simplicity, effectiveness, and ease of use. I have ILL on the books for 4th, but am reconsidering. Anyone have suggestions for something that could satisfy us both? I really hate that she looks forward to school, "except English"...her words. SoCal_Bear
Maybe the CAP W&R series which has been very well received by many on the boards here. Do check out their samples online. http://classicalacademicpress.com/writing-rhetoric-1/ This is a monster thread on it here: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/482282-new-writing-program-from-cap/
nansk
I think curricula comparable to ILL would be English Lessons Through Literature 4 or else Rod & Staff English 4 done mostly orally.
