Angie in VA Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 I talk to them in Spanish. They get freaked out and start mumbling and hang up. I was having a real problem with callers until I did that. Now I haven't had one in over a year. I have no idea what I will do if I get a caller who actually speaks Spanish, but it hasn't happened yet. The kids LOVE it when I do that, btw. They act like I have a secret super power. A friend's ds kept a scammer on the phone for the better part of an hour playing dumb. He acted out all sorts of scenes and used an accent. He has goals of how long he can keep them on the phone, not giving them any info or access, of course. The Spanish thing? I am sooo going to do this! Super power, indeed!
