Aspasia
Strict, I know! I know this matters. I know it definitely matters that kids learn to form letters properly. My problem is that I have a very stubborn 4-year-old who resists actual instruction (which is fine--I'm not pushing it at this point), but he LOVES to write letters when he's just drawing or coloring. He likes to look at letters and copy them, but he doesn't always form them correctly. When I try to show him, he really, really resists me. I would rather wait for all of this until he is more amenable to instruction, but I can't exactly ban all attempts at letter formation. How do I handle this?
