Hewitt's CP Concept Development Practice Book...Worth buying?

Recommended Posts

I have an earlier version and it's good EXCEPT that I don't have an answer key so it requires me to have DH correct it (since he is much stronger at physics than I am).

This is the one I have: http://www.amazon.com/Conceptual-Physics-Concept-Development-Practice-Book/dp/0130542598/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1396638991&sr=1-1&keywords=0130542598

When I tried searching for the Concept Development book, I read several times that there are no answers... Is there an answer book at all?

Also Crimson Wife, can you recall how the book helped your student?  For example, what kinds of exercises did he do?

We used a few chapters out of it to help prep for Science Olympiad. The CP text doesn't really have a lot of practice problems involving calculations so the workbook was really helpful in that regards. Most of the chapters in the text have 1 or 2 worksheets in the workbook, but 5 of the chapters have 3 worksheets, 1 chapter has 4 worksheets, and 1 chapter has 5 worksheets.

I presume that a TM exists for the workbook but I couldn't find one available for sale when I looked several months ago.
