I know,, I know.. I should not plan for AOPS textbook. just want a heads up for the chapters I should not hesitate to skip if the boy struggles... kiana Posted March 30, 2014 Share Posted March 30, 2014 I would not plan to skip chapters based on difficulty, but rather on the necessity for future coursework COMBINED with difficulty. That is, difficult chapters that are necessary for future study should still be struggled through. ETA: Aha, now I see what you mean! Sorry, can't help there. But if you are struggling unduly on the starred problems in a section I would definitely consider moving on to another section and circling back through. Just like AOPS algebra, we had to skip couple sections in chapter 6 and 1 section in chapter 7 at the time we went through it and circle back later on. That is what I am looking for.
