Janet in Toronto Posted August 12, 2008 Author Share Posted August 12, 2008 Last year, I got the Oxford Illustrated Jane Austen for my sister, a Jane-ite (or whatever they're called...the people who belong to the Jane Austen Society and attend annual balls in period dress!). MSRP is $175 and I think I paid $40 during the sale last summer. This year, I'm thinking about a book called "Beam: The Race to Make the Laser" for DH for Christmas or his bday as it's his (adopted) field of work (optics). The OUP reference books and compilations (poetry, short stories, etc) are always great too, and some of these are on sale this summer.
