songsparrow
After seeing people here mentioning using Growly Notes for lesson planning, I bought the app. I haven't been using it for lesson planning (I just use Pages documents for that). But I have found it makes a very useful whiteboard! I've been using it along with the Kindle in our writing lessons with WWS (which I have on PDF). For that, I mirror my laptop to our TV screen. On the left side of the screen, I open WWS in the Kindle. This lets us read together, and highlight passages as we're working through them. On the right side of the screen, I open Growly Notes, and use it to take notes as we work through the task together verbally. (When we have our final product, the girls copy it down into their notebooks.) I'm attaching a screen shot. I like that in Growly Notes I can type or draw or make shapes, depending on the situation. I thought this might be of interest to others here. Any other tech ideas / solutions that enhance your teaching?
