Plink Posted July 24, 2013 Share Posted July 24, 2013 Wordless (ish) - That nasty heat wave that came through the north-east drove us out of our non-airconditioned home for a while, and into the water. My kids thought it was wonderful and took advantage of every minute to swim, splash, float, and ride on our antique flying saucer waterskiing toy. Word-filled - Springing off of last week's post about increasing lesson retention, I wrote about WHY we choose to homeschool using a combination of Classical Education and Unit Studies. The science of how the brain functions is intimately involved in everything we do as educators, including being intentional with the methods of instruction that we choose. I figured if I was already crazy busy redoing the kitchen then I may as well refinish some furniture.
