3monkeys
Does anyone know what reading level child would be after completing AAR level 2? My child finished 100 Easy Lessons and I'm thinking he's still only at a 1st or 2nd grade level.
3monkeys
Seems like I read somewhere on this forum child would be at a 4th or 5th grade level when level 2 is completed. Just curious if that is accurate.
DandelionPrincess
100ez is supposed to end at a 2nd grade level. We are going to use OPGTR next to keep up with formal lessons, and that will take him through a 4th grade level. As far as I know, aar 2 will be far too easy if you've finished 100ez. I could be wrong though, I haven't personally used it. Check their website for a table of contents to see what's coveted in that level. ByGrace3
I am not sure because the scope and sequence of AAR is very different... I think I remember reading that there were some higher level words they could decode but not all. My ds is about 1/3 of the way through AAR 2 and I would guess he is at a 1st/2nd grade level. I would not guess by the end he would be at a 4/5th... Not all the phonograms are taught by the end of level 2.
3monkeys
Maybe it was OPGTR and not AAR2 that I read about. Hmmm....

Meadowlark
We just finished AAR level 2, and if I had to guess, I'd say my rising 1st grader reads at a 2nd or 3rd grade level. Probably not 5th though....
