pjssully
I am looking for some ideas and/or curriculum for 6th grade science. Up to now, we have done just acitivities and such-not much but they have done a lot on their own (11 year old twin boys). I want something more organized this year, but something that is hands on with not too much writing. I really don't know what is out there and don't even know where to start. So I would appreciate anything!!!! Thanks pam
birchbark
Not sure if you're wanting Christian or secular, but Rainbow Science and Exploration Education are both hands-on science for that age group. Rainbow is actually sold for 7th and 8th grade, but if your boys are sciencey they might like it. Other programs that get lots of raves are Ellen McHenry's, BJU's middle school science, and Supercharged science. I also have heard good things about Holt's textbooks, which would be secular.
