The play 1776 -- question

Recommended Posts

I rented a video taped version of this play from the library thinking it would be great for the family. I don't remember the details, but I remember there being crass humor and what I would deem immodest dress.

This play is being performed locally and my son asked about it.

Can anyone offer me clearer details?

I saw it recently on TV. Jefferson's wife has a pretty low-cut dress and there's some innuendo. At one point it's pretty obvious that Jefferson and his wife are...you know! I wouldn't have a problem with my younger son (7)watching it because I think most of that stuff would go right over his head.

Since you have the video, you can always preview it first and so what you think.
