JDoe
Probably the best logic text book I have ever come across (by a huge margin), it's free, and it's 350 years old!! http://en.wikipedia....ort-Royal_Logic The book> http://books.google....AAJ&redir_esc=y It should be noted that it is DENSE and will require some work to digest. No exercises or anything remotely like study aids. You have to STUDY and THINK all the way through it. Bit on the religious side, however the authors were in open warfare with the Pope, the Protestants and the King and has apparently used this edition as part of their weaponry. Earlier editions apparently without the "extras" but not available in English, though for those studying french out there you might be able to find a earlier "clean" edition. Anyhow the religious aspects do not take away from an extraordinary piece of work. Sprinkled with Latin (and a bit of Greek) throughout. There is a Port-Royal Grammar book too, that complements it http://en.wikipedia....t-Royal_Grammar However no "freebie" so you have to get it at Amazon http://www.amazon.co...ords=Port-Royal I have it, but not quite sure if it's worth it except maybe the first couple of chapters. Enjoy, or suffer.
JDoe
:confused1: 0 replies and 0 views? And I thought "logic" was kind of a homeschool thing that would get plenty of interest. Well, it will be here for when someone searches the board for "logic"
