joyfulhomeschooler
Has anyone read this? What is your opinion on it being read aloud to a nine and seven year old? It doesn't put homeschooling down does it? We are christians, is there anything in it that would be of concern in thisi area?

Jilly
It's a wonderful book, but it may be a little old for anyone under nine or ten. We listened to it as an audiobook last summer, and I remember thinking that a few small parts were not appropriate for my youngest son who had just turned nine. Common Sense Media has a review, and they recommend ages 11and up. http://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/wonder
Aurelia
I agree with Jilly. I was looking at it to read to DD at 8, but have decided to wait and either read it to her or let her read it once she's 10 or 11. The content seemed a little too mature for kids younger than that. joyfulhomeschooler
Thank you to both of you. I forgot about common sense press. That is a great site to check the books with. I suppose we will have to wait for this great book. :) I might just get it from the library and read it myself.
