I had no idea Brainpop in French is free right now while it's still i beta testing. Yay! It was worth sharing again though, since I missed those posts initially. I actually have a subscription to the Spanish one for myself, although I may start letting my 3.5 yr old try one out to see if she likes it/get anything from it. The French one is for me too right now :) I love that you can turn on/off the text under each video. I usually watch them with text the first time, then repeat without text. It's nice to get the immediate feedback of how much I'm comprehending! As I said before, it's in Beta testing, so the French site has many fewer videos than the paid English and Spanish sites. I wish the level of scientific information were higher but the level of French is at the perfect can-grasp-the-idea-but-not-every-word practice level for me. What else is like this? What I have done is looked for the free videos on the English version that have the same ones on the French site. Then we watch the English one first and then the French, that way we are not too lost in the French one. It's great. We might sign up for the English one just to continue doing this.
