Denainms
I wanted to share the magnet board my dh made for my kids to use with the All About Spelling program, he used galvanized metal (there are 2 sheets back to back) he painted them and them made a frame on wheels, I have 2 kids using the program, so one can sit on each side of it and use their tiles. I think it turned out great!

King Alfred Academy
That is fantastic! Maybe it's time to use the cookie sheet for what it was made for... "Honey, come here please. I have something to show you..." She calls from the other room. ;)
hose
We have our on the 'fridge; I wish we had room for your dh's invention!
Cathy in IL
I love it. I will be trying to create a version of it. I like how you have the green page right there too ensuring that it stays set up properly.
gandpsmommy
That's a great idea! It' looks terrific. We don't have the extra space for something like that, so I bought a big piece of foam board and attached the tiles with little, round self-adhesive velcro. When it's not in use we slide it behind a bookshelf.

Sue G in PA
no, I bought magetic strips and cut and stuck to the back of the tiles, you can also buy the magnets from AAS. :) Where did you buy your strips and do they work just as well as the AAS ones? $5 is kind of expensive for magnetic strips from AAS but the site says they are specially made so they don't hold on quite as tight so dc can move the letters around better? Denainms
I just bought the cheap packs of magnet strips at wal-mart in the craft section (88 cents per pack) and they are working great so far.:)
