Dolphin
We used AAS then transitioned to Phonetic Zoo, and I LOVE it. Here is my review of it. We are just getting ready to start AAS with my younger, and will then transition after level 3 to PZ
mommyto4
My older son is using R&S after trying SWO and SWS. We both love it! He is using the Grade 6 book which is a textbook. On Monday he writes out all the words and does Part A (takes about 20 minutes). Then the next day he completes Part B and C (takes about 20-25 minutes). Thursday is test day. He usually only has to ask help for one or two of the questions. My second son uses AAS and is in Level 5. He needs this direct instruction. I hope he will complete all seven levels by the beginning of Grade 6 and then move over to R&S.
Marie131
Thanks for the suggestions. AAS didn't work in this house. We completed level 1 then dropped it. Would grade 3 R&S be suitable for an 8 year old boy who is a natural speller but has only had a little bit of formal spelling?
