Dianne-TX
Just the sound of the procedure sounds awful. What should I know going into it? I am getting antibiotics afterwards as well as the mouth rinse. Is it painful? Tell me everything.
bzymom
It is not as awful as it sounds, and I am a total dental sissy. In my experience, the Novocaine needles were the worst part, as is often the case with dental work. Once you get past that, it is not painful. Your mouth will be sore after each round (I assume two quadrants at a time), but I never needed to take any pain meds other than ibuprofen. Good luck!
