Angel
Dh has got a bee in his bonnet about getting some chickens. We live in the city but have a space we could keep them. I know that there was some talk of this a while back. What are some good books to read about this? I'm thinking of getting dh one for Christmas. I think he wants to start off having them for eggs, if that makes any difference. Thanks!
Tenaj
We have this book from when we first started with our chickens. I don't know if it's the best out there, but it worked for us. Gave us the courage and the basic knowledge we needed to get started. We've found chickens to be pretty easy to deal with. http://www.amazon.com/Chickens-In-Your-Backyard-Beginners/dp/0878571256/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1355494602&sr=8-3&keywords=backyard+chickens

We live in a very small, residential neighborhood of old homes on small lots, close together. We have seven hens and LOVE them to pieces. SO rewarding! astrid
Angel
Thanks! I'll pass along the links to dh and take a look at the books! He's not planning anything until spring. What an adventure.
