AmyCC
On Friday night we're having a "Farewell Dinner" for a group of students we've been hosting for a month from Basque country (northern Spain, southern France). The slideshow (do they still call it that even though these aren't slides? :001_huh:) will consist of pictures of their arrival, of various activities we've done as a group, and of them with their host families. I'm having a hard time picking out music. It's gotta be music that's fairly hip. (These are teenagers we're talking about here!) I'll probably need two or three songs. Ideas so far: "Lean on Me" (for pictures with them and their families), "Eye of the Tiger" (there's some fun pictures of games and activities)... I'm not even sure I like those ideas! I'm sure you have ones that are much better. :001_smile:

obiandelismom
Green Day's 'Time of Your Life' is one I've used in slide shows!
Mrs. Readsalot
First I think the Green Day song Time of your life already suggested is wonderful. You could also consider Vertigo by U2 this is one of their more current releases oldie but goodies could be Change the World by Eric Clapton Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac Long and Winding Road by the Beatles(kids today still really like the Beatles) You've Got a Friend by James Taylor good luck your task sounds like quite an interesting one. Danestress
How about "You got a friend in me" from the Toy Story sound track. I know it's not that hip, but it's not just terrible, and there is a cool Lyle Lovett recording of it.

AmyCC
Love that one! That would be a perfect one for the end. Now I just need something upbeat and fun for the beginning...
