Ottakee Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 Not wanting to get into a debate on whether or not to get a flu shot but just wondering if they seem to be working this year. Anyone who got the flu shot---have you been exposed but not gotten the flu? Or gotten it? Just wondering here. We did get the shots for our whole family but we have a 16 year old foster daughter now who has signs that she has the influenza---all the symptoms except it came on more slowly than hard and fast. Just wondering is we can avoid it for the rest of us. We will continue hand washing and general illness prevention stuff no matter what. simplyme99 Posted December 3, 2012 Share Posted December 3, 2012 My girls both got shots this year (really they get them every year). One for sure was exposed at school - no flu... not even a cold!!
