cherylw
Is there anything like this? I'm interested in any curriculum that can incorporate two subjects, but not really looking into unit studies. I guess I would like to kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak anywhere I can. Alte Veste Academy
We fold some of our writing into content subjects (mostly history and science) using WWE (the hardcover teacher text makes this easy). I use other things for grammar but I don't think it would be much of a stretch to use FLL (or other grammar programs, for that matter) in the same manner as WWE, pulling from history selections to illustrate grammatical concepts. I find myself doing this naturally, as the kids or I point out how a sentence from content reading is an example of this or that thing they have recently learned. For myself, I have figured out that the biggest help or hindrance to my ability to fold subjects together is my own comfort level with the subjects. If you are very comfortable with grammar, invest in a great guide for yourself and teaching from content should be a breeze.
