Kathie in VA
looks like you covered everything. I gather Book of Think is informal logic? I hadn't heard of that one before. Roots and Fruits is vocab? I gather your dc is done with spelling? (wish my rising 8th grader was) Did you skip Latin or choose not to do it?
Margo out of lurking
I gather Book of Think is informal logic? Yes. I saw it while browsing a few of the WTM blogs last week, and it looked good. We did Fallacy Detective two years ago. It went well, and I plan to maybe use it again before moving on the book 2 down the road. Roots and Fruits is vocab? Yes, using Greek and Latin roots. I think I found this on the same blog, lol. I gather your dc is done with spelling? (wish my rising 8th grader was) Yes, and she's quite happy about that! Did you skip Latin or choose not to do it? We did Prima two years ago, because it was something I could understand and teach. ;) We did LC1 this past year, and it went okay. I've just started working part time, and Latin was the one thing that I know we could not keep up in the new school year. I'm bummed (about the Latin). My kids, however, are quite thrilled!
