ErinE Posted October 1, 2012 Share Posted October 1, 2012 If he's really coughing and snotty, then I'd stay home. But it's hard with colds. They linger for a month and it's unrealistic to stay inside all winter. So some of the clear cut attitudes here are difficult for me to swallow. I agree. However, if it's the initial stages of a really bad cold, I'd keep my children home. If it's lingering symptoms, I would go. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jemsmom Posted October 1, 2012 Share Posted October 1, 2012 If my kids just had a cold (coughing and/or sneezing etc, but otherwise normal energy and activity level) and the event was in a public place, we'd go and not think twice about it. If the event was in a private home, I'd leave it up to the host whether or not they wanted us to come. We would stay home if someone was sick (fever, lethargy, body aches, etc).
