I wanted to prove that I was a man but inside I was scared. I knew that I had to do it now. The smell of salt water stung my nose. I imagined the ocean and sharks waiting for me. I thought people would laugh at me and call me wimp. I said to myself “What if I slip and look like a fool.” Every body was watching I knew it was my time to shine. I jumped down and felt the water hit me. It felt like somebody poured ice on me. All my veins were flowing with energy. I went underwater and opened my eyes. I saw air bubbles flowing.
