MeganW
Any ideas for a history club activity related to Gilgamesh? This would be for 4 - 7 year olds. I'm afraid the activities listed in the book are going to be a complete letdown after some of the awesome ones we have done previously (chicken mummy, painting hieroglyphics on papyrus, model of the Nile, cave painting, archeological dig, etc.). skeeterbug
This is what we did. It's not hugely exciting, but for a larger group you could ask them all to bring blocks and make a huge wall. The kids could take turns being the different characters. Hmmm, having problems with the linky tool... http://www.ouraussiehomeschool.com/2012/06/gilgamesh-king.html
SandraK
We have a co-op class for K-3 and we did cuneiform writing on clay mini tablets in class last week. The Mom leading our class that week printed out the graph with all the cuneiform symbols on it, got some Crayola Clay, and toothpicks. The kids rolled out their own clay forms and then etched in cuneiform symbols that spelled out their names using the toothpicks. Very simple and easy to do. And the kids LOVED it!
