Jean in IN Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 I'm assuming that since you have your curriculum choices in your siggy you mean how the day was scheduled? We didn't really have a set schedule but here's what we did. After Breakfast we read our History or Science lesson for the day. If there was time I would read aloud at this time. Next year I want to make time for memory work right here too. Then he would work independently on R&S Bible, LCII Latin and Elementary Greek, then I would come and go over his RS Math lesson with him and check his Greek, Latin and Bible to make sure he was getting it. At 11:00 we would go to the gym a couple blocks from our house or go for a bike ride. After lunch we would do SWR and CW. He would practice piano whenever he could fit it in. Amy loves Bud Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 Here is how our day will be schedule for my upcoming 5th grader: 8:30 start - Bible - daily Memory work - daily Chores - daily Math - daily Language Arts - Grammar 3 days, Spelling 4 days, Writing 4 days Latin - daily Literature - daily History 3 days/ Science 2 days Art/Music Appreciation - 4 days (only about 5-10 minutes per day) Free reading - daily In addition, we'll work Mindbenders in there somewhere three times per week. I generally allot an hour max for each subject, but if we finish in less time than that, which we usually do, we just take a quick break then move to the next item. Mama Lynx Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 I know what we're using for 5th and 7th this year, but haven't yet worked out a schedule.
