A.J. at J.A.
I'm thinking of using Traditional Logic I with my 8th grader (once we finish Fallacy Detective - we already finished Thinking Toolbox). I was wondering if it is something that he/we can do without the dvds or would they be a big help and worth the extra cost? Thanks, Angela
janainaz
I just finished Traditional Logic I with my 6th grade ds (he just started 7th). I have had zero experience with logic and did not use the DVD. I thought it was very easy to understand and to teach - we just did the book together. SilverMoon
They aren't necessary, unless your DC simply has a hard time learning without that visual component. The DVDs helped me with that book, but Martin's lectures practically put my DS to sleep. His eyes would seriously glaze over, and he couldn't narrate much of any of it to me until he'd read the book. Jyniffrec
DD12 started lesson 2 today and didn't use the video. She said she didn't need it and she found the video last week to be very boring. That said, I'm glad I have the video just in case we run into a snag - maybe it will help us figure it out.
