one-day smoothie fast

I tried a one-day smoothie fast yesterday. I actually felt great. I ended up having 5 smoothies. The first 4 were kale smoothies (kale, banana, blueberries, orange juice) and the last was my regular smoothie that I always have in the evening (banana, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, orange juice).

 

I think I may try doing a one-day smoothie fast every week. Thursdays are my really busy day during the schoolyear because I teach a class in the morning and then tutor in the afternoon. Smoothies would work well on that day.

 

I'm hoping to actually lose weight with this. I did type my smoothies in to sparkpeople and got a total of 1500 calories for the day. I know I'm just doing it one day/week, but I'm hoping that it will also help me to rein things in the rest of the week too.
