A home for their hearts
I hope you don't mind me posting this. I'm really intrigued by your blog. Is it Charlotte Mason inspired? Also, are the Levels grade levels or reading levels? I'm really wanting to ramp up our literature studies this year and I think your blog will help me out tremendously. Thanks! Kfamily
Thank you...:001_smile: Yes, I am very inspired by Charlotte Mason. I was also inspired recently by the Circe thread. In this thread, I read more about a classical curriculum which focuses more heavily on literature. I knew this was along the lines of some strong ideas on my part with regard to literature, and I refined my blog curriculum along those lines. The levels are more reading level based (each year builds on the previous years) but are also designed with age development in mind too. ETA: Sorry, I meant to mention this, but was distracted here at home... The arrangement of history by civilization or time period was designed to help those who would like to combine their children. I have pages for the literature set up to allow for each child following their own path in literature but for the family to stay together in history. At some point, I hope to separate science, art, geography and music so that a family could stay together for all of these subjects too.
