Quiver0f10
Do you schedule this every day or could it be done 2 or 3 days a week?
Mrs Twain
We usually do a one-paragraph lesson in four days if there is a DVD session to watch. It goes like this: Day 1: Watch the DVD (30-40 minutes). Day 2: Write key word outline. Day 3: Write the messy copy and edit if there is time. Day 4: Edit messy copy if not already done, and write the neat copy. If there is no DVD session to watch, then we do the one-paragraph lesson in three days. If the assignment is longer than one paragraph, we will take multiple weeks (3 days per week) to complete the lesson. We spend about 30-40 minutes per day on SWI-A. You could complete a lesson in two days if you took more time per day (perhaps one hour).
boscopup
My son couldn't possibly combine days at this point, so he does keyword outline one day, rough draft the next day or two, and final coy the next day or two. So it's anywhere from 3-5 days for an assignment. Note that you can go whatever pace you want and even skip assignments or add extra assignments, depending on what your student needs. If you follow the schedule in the teacher notes, it's 4-5 days per week, but lasts 30 weeks.
Quiver0f10
Thank you both. I think my son would do well with spreading the lessons out a bit so 4 days is probably better than trying to cram them into 2 or 3.
