LNC
My children can type 60-70wpm with 98% accuuracy. I type about the same. Is that good enough for high school college work? Can we be done with typing practice.? I think they can improve speed with just time and typing papers...
Embassy
Yes, I think 60 wpm is sufficient for most tasks unless the individual wants to work as a secretary or something related later on.
Candid
I think that will work, BUT typing speed can mean a lot less time at the keyboard, so investing in an inexpensive program that gets them to type even faster would be an okay thing to do. Teachin'Mine
I think their typing speed and accuracy is awesome!!! Just by typing, they will gain speed. I would drop any more formal typing lessons, but you may want to show them this site as a really fun way to get faster. It improved my speed considerably. http://www.freetypinggame.net/
