Brigitte Posted May 25, 2012 Share Posted May 25, 2012 A friend suggested this one to me: One Thousand Gifts . I read the first chapter and it seems to fit the bill. Another friend from a totally different group was reading it and couldn't put it down. She said it was very moving and inspirational. I wish they had a kids version. I forgot about the holiday and when I checked on them yesterday they were both guaranteed to arrive on Wednesday which is the day we leave. We have a b&M Barnes and Noble and although it irks me that they charge so much more for their books at the retail store than they do online (which, of course, I understand WHY they do this due to overhead but I still always hate spending the extra money) I think I need the books so much that I am going to go ahead and get them. Thank you, again! I'm going to read the 1000 gifts book first. I was afraid it was just a list reminding me of things to be thankful for but when I read the excerpts I deeply related to what was being said.
