pjssully
hi- I am looking for some ideas/advice for my 5th grade boys. They have done some ancient egypt and some early american history and that's about it-bits and pieces here and there. I have used SL, a little of SOTW, Charlotte Mason, and HOD. So...i need to decide-i could get in a full four year rotation before high school, starting at the greeks. Would SOTW be too young now? What do people use their 2nd time around for this age? Or i could continue with american history for another 1 1/2 years with SL and then go back and pick up ancients and middle ages. I guess my main question is what do people use when they reach 5th grade and want to start a 4 year rotation? Just need some ideas. I don't want "box" curriculum-been there......something with just history, geography and possibly literature. Really would appreciate any advice thanks pam
MomatHWTK
I'm using VP's self-paced courses starting with Ancient Egypt. I'm not sure if I'll try and supplement with some American history while we go through the VP program or not. We just started with the self-paced courses in February.
