Kelley
I was wondering if this would round out my Geology program for my 8th grader? How much Geology does it get into? My children love hands-on activities. How much is contained within this program? Thanks! Kelley
Miss Marple
If you are wanting a rocks & minerals course, this wouldn't be it. The title, World Physical Geography, is pretty close to what is covered. There will be sections on plate shifts, mountain formation, the water cycle, a very little bit on planets, etc., but not much of what I would typically call "geology". What, specifically, are you looking for?
Tina in WA
There are lots of hands on activities in this book. But like Cynthia said, it is geography related. :) BTW, We (dd7th and I) love this book here! :)
Kelley
I would love to find a "Hands-On" and very good Geology Course for my 8th grader. I had to mesh so many things to get what I wanted for "Weather", I would hope to find something very stimulating for Geology. thanks! Tina in WA
Here is something that interests me: Northwest Treasures I saw them at our State Convention. I wanted to purchase everything! Search around the site. There is lots of neat things there. Something else I am considering: Media Angels Creation Geology. There is a activity Pack, and a coloring book to go along with it. And of course "I" just had to get a lapbook on Geology, though it is still in my "to do" pile. :)
