quark
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned. Just saw this article and giving others the heads up about the book. I wish someone could write a book about early college for boys too. Amazon pre-order.
Kathy in Richmond
quark, I guess we hear more about girls going away to college early because of programs like PEG at Mary Baldwin College. There don't seem to many (if any) similar opportunities available for young boys. Have you ever heard the story of Greg Smith? He was quite the sensation in the news here back in 1999 when he began college at Randolph Macon at the age of ten, majoring in math. He later earned masters degrees, first in math and then in biology, from the University of Virginia, along with working with on an international peace organization that he founded. Fascinating kid! quark
From the article: For the first class of his college career -- physics -- Greg took a seat right in the middle of a U-shaped arrangement of tables, a pen at the ready for note-taking, eyes alight in anticipation of learning. Loved this! Thanks for sharing Kathy!
