justLisa Posted May 1, 2012 Share Posted May 1, 2012 I did not learn traditional diagramming. I don't remember much direct grammar study in school, though I always had good marks for writing. We finished FLL3 this year, and DS can diagram sentences all day long. I don't really expect it to yet, but it does NOT transfer to his own writing. I can see why diagramming would be very useful, but is anyone saving this for later? Is diagramming usually taught in school? WE are using IEW next year, which will be a definite step up, so I am trying to find something "simple" for grammar. Any suggestions?
