If you are using Webster's Speller to teach reading and spelling (or have used it) I would love to hear your general thoughts about it. How is it working for you?

My other question is specific. I just started using the Webster's Spelling Book that was typed and formatted by Don Potter. (I downloaded it here).

I noticed that the Table 25 sentences present some words that were not covered in previous phonics lessons or in the first few pages of the syllabary--wood, good, coal, you. Am I missing something?

We have used Phonics Pathways for 3 other children, but I thought I might give Webster's a try. I think it will help my older girl with pronunciation of bigger words. Breaking up words into syllables has helped her.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Andrea
