Kim in SouthGa
My son has several colleges he is interested in, but they are all very different-from FSU to Patrick Henry! He will be in 11th grade next year. At what point should we start visiting campuses? We will be in the DC area this summer and are going to try to arrange a tour with Patrick Henry. Is it too soon to start visiting the ones closer to us? thanks
SuperDad
We plan on doing a couple of visits next year, when dc will be in 10th grade. Edited March 18, 2012 by SuperDad
galtgrl
No, it's not too soon. Our 10th graders have a WIIIIDE variety of interests and possible careers, so we've been visiting colleges already this year. I think they'll have seen 6 of the potential schools that are within an hour or two of home by the end of April. Our plan is to visit the schools that are more than 4 hours away only after they are (hopefully) accepted Senior year.
