Mama Geek
I thought it might be an interesting discussion. I was greatly influenced by home schoolers long before dd came along and dh always wanted to homeschool any kids that we had (he had horrible public school experiences.) I have spent a fair amount of time with dh figuring out long term goals for dd. The goals are a work in progress and will probably always be and are open to change as she grows and as our priorities change. The goals cover the academics that we will want to cover before she graduates, life skills we want her to have, extracurricular activities that we want to expose her to. I like a lot of what is in TWTM, but like most, there are some things that I will tweak and some other things that I want to include. So have you thought about what your end goals are? nono
Yes, we have listed overall objectives, strategies and our yearly tactics for defining our goals and overall success of schooling at home. I agree with this article's definition of the terms.
