Cammie
I have been asked to lead classes for grades 1-3 on ethics/character education. I am looking for resources that have lesson plans for kids in this age group on issues like bullying, kindness, empathy, sharing, courage, etc. If anyone has any ideas for great resources, books, websites I would appreciate any leads! - Cammie

Cammie
That looks nice but I would need something more secular given the make-up of the class (mostly Hindu, some Christian, maybe some Muslim). - Cammie
WeeBeaks
The Social Skills Simplified workbooks may help, but I think they may be going out of print. I hav eused them with my kids. They are published by Essential Learning Products and inexpensive, secular. Also a while ago someone posted a link to a nice unit study based on The Book of Virtues that might work in part. I have only used part of that one, but I would read the short story or poem aloud, discuss and then use the unit study pages of a narration page. There were also vocabulary and other elements based on the ages you were using it with. A search might turn up that resource, which I believe came from a blog. Book of Virtues is secular in the parts I have used, can't vouch for the whole thing, though I think most of the author's content is directed to be applicable to public schools so is likely entirely secular. Staceyshoe
Kids of Integrity is very Christian-based, so you probably couldn't use it as your main resource. Many of the fun activities would work well. It's free, so it might be worth looking at to see what you can use from it.
