Lisa in the UP of MI
We already own Merriam-Webster's Primary Dictionary. DD loves it and picks it up just to read it sometimes. However, the words she wants to look up now are not in this dictionary. Then she tries our adult dictionary, and the words are defined by more words that she doesn't know. So, I'm looking for a new dictionary. What would you all recommend?
wallingjan
We are currently using the American Heritage Student Dictionary that Sonlight recommends from about grade 3 and up. We've really liked it. Younger than that, we used a childrens dictionary that they used to have but I can't lay my hands on it right now. I'll try to find it later. Having a dictionary too advance can be really frustrating. I never realized when I started homeschooling that I would need 3 or 4 different ones!
