I've been dealing with this for a long time as well, and actually found something that works well - with no chemicals.... http://www.hairoff.com/face-products.shtml You have to be careful until you get the hand of it - you can actually sand off skin if you're not. The first time I used it I was a bit over zealous, shall we say, and ended up with a raw, chapped face.
