Susan in TN
I'm looking for a small lightweight (rechargeable?) vacuum that the younger kids could handle to vacuum rugs and small areas (we don't have much carpet). Is there one that works well? We have one of those old "sweepers" that doesn't pick up much.
Down_the_Rabbit_Hole
Don't buy the Shark rechargeable. Got mine in May and it was great...for about a month. Now I need to stop after a few minutes and clean the filter, the brush, and the canister (even if it is not full). Frustrating!

annlaura
I have a Hoover LiNX cordless stick vac. I'm happy with it. I mean, it's not as powerful as a big corded vac, but for a lightweight cordless, it does a good job. You can turn the spiin brush on/off as you go, which is great for going from wood to area rug. It swivels and turns easily. I do have to pick up scraps of paper and whatnot that a bigger vac might suck up. But it gets the dog hair, dirt, playdoh bits, and cheerios just fine. We've had it at least a year.
