Wendi
My dh has been doing a lot if research about neurofeedback for ds (ADHD/Asperger). Some unexpected money came along that is enough to pay for the brain map, consultation, and about 20 sessions, so we decided to go for it. The brain map results were interesting; ds has significant ADD. He is doing his second session right now. We are cautiously optimistic. Jennifer-72
Good Luck! Ds had excellent gains with neurofeedback. It helped his attention and focus as well as his executive functioning skills (which would be considered non existent beforehand). Prior to doing neurofeedback I had no idea how we would be able to get any school work done. After 6-10 sessions is when we started to notice a big difference. His emotional regulation really improved as well. I hope your son has as much success. Jennifer
DandelionMom
My oldest did neurofeedback when she was between age 7-8, and it worked beautifully for her. The change was pretty dramatic and lasting; much more calm, collected, and able to consider her actions more easily before impulsively acting.
