kiana
Looking for a friend who's got a K dd in PS. He's not very good at math himself, but would like to help his dd get a better foundation. I live a long way away or I'd offer to help myself. So ideally, looking for something that will help him teach concepts in afterschooling while re-learning them himself, that's NOT a full curriculum. Would the Kitchen Table fit the bill? I've looked at the old threads but I'm still unsure. Anyone used it for help with afterschooling? Or another recommendation? HiddenJewel
I think it would work well. But have you seen the samples on Amazon? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=kitchen+table+math&x=0&y=
kiana
Yes, and on the publisher's site as well. But thanks -- I forgot to mention that in OP. :) This may be just part of my usual vacillation about presents for people. :P
jenbrdsly
Here's some cheap math ideas from my blog. The peanut butter fractions one is really fun. I've heard good things about the Kitchen Table Math book (I think from Crimsom Wife).
