Rummy Roots

I'm looking for something for Greek and/or Latin Roots to be done on a Friday. I thought a game would be a nice change to workbook activities.

 

First, can this really be played with 2 people as it states (most games stink when they say this)? Second, it looks like Go Fish. Is it more interesting?

 

Are there any other games that would do this?

Yes, you can play it with two people.

 

It is only like Go Fish on the first level while you are learning to match the roots and the English equivalent. After that it is more fun.

Go fish doesn't much interest me, but how long would it take to get to the next level? And would I get the first Rummy Roots or the next set. There are two.

I'd get the first one. The second one just has different roots.

 

How long the "Go Fish" portion takes depends on how fast you learn the root/English meaning pairs. You could learn them a different way if you don't want to play that portion.
