Book a Week in 2011 - week forty three

Recommended Posts

I read The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom, which was a riveting account of how a Dutch Christian family helped hundreds of Jews & others during WW II, what she & her sister did when imprisoned, and what Corrie was able to accomplish to help people who survived the extermination/concentration camps. I also read a fluffier book (not total fluff, just relative to the first book), The Sugar Queen.

This sounds really interesting!

At first I thought you meant a book. I saw this in the theatre way back when and was wondering if the book was any good until I went to your link.

Try it in audio. Ugh, I wanted to pull my ears off at the sound of his snivelly nasally voice.

I know this was a while back :tongue_smilie:, but I just wanted to mention that this description has made me laugh countless times. :smilielol5:

Thank you for the many giggles! :grouphug: :D
