Greta
There was a review of a secular guide to Charlotte Mason education in the second issue of Secular Homeschooling Magazine. I'd never heard of it before, so I thought I'd pass it along in case anyone else might be interested. It's an eBook, and it's only $5! I haven't read it all yet, but it looks great so far. It talks about Charlotte Mason herself and her general philosophy of how she viewed and treated children, and then it gets into the how-to's of a CM education, such as narration and nature study and such. It's 145 pages. Hope someone will find it useful! http://www.pennygardner.com/secular.html
Ann@thebeach
I saw this review as well and wondered how it was different from the original bk. I have the original one and wondered if there were major differences or not-anyone know? The magazine looks good BTW. I'm anxious to see the 3rd issue. Greta
I don't have the original so I'm not sure, but I suspect it's just that she removed the Biblical references??? From her website: People have asked for a book about Charlotte Mason without as many religious references. Since an e-book is so easy to adapt, I decided to fill the need. So I suspect that if you have the original, there is probably nothing new here. But, again, not sure!
