When they come home to the States they will be bringing the four African children that they adopted (ranging from 6 years old to late teens). Their desire is to homeschool the children for the time that they will be in the States. They have asked me about homeschooling materials in both French and English. I have no problem helping them out with the materials in English. But I have no idea where to look for French resources and I need help locating sources that carry homeschooling materials in French. Second lesson: when you dig a bit further, you can find "Les mathématiques à la maison" (which is a GREAT GREAT program - and it's FREE TOO!) http://www.defimath.ca However, that math program does not match anyone's state curriculum and is so "out there" that it really doesn't match anything at all. First graders start with squares and square roots, and by the end of the year they're handling first degree equations.... Third: There's great long distance schooling you can have from either France or Belgium. Oh there's plenty of French material, after all we wouldn't homeschool in French otherwise. But there's no *homeschooling* material. Otherwise you can go a la carte, and choose your classes http://www.ead.cfwb.be/ From Belgium. Low cost, effective method, but you get printed material, not a nice book on glossy paper..
