Robbin
Several families I know are considering shifting there middle schoolers by one year back inorder to have more mature children with the possiblity of higher test scores and /or just being able to make better choices + having them home an extra year. Has anyone tried this with their middle schooler? If yes, did your child receive it well or how did you convey your objectives to best equip your child to answer and handle meddling questions? What are your thoughts on pros vs. cons? We are seriously contemplating and we want to be prepared for the back lash family and friends might provide. Our two children started kindergaten early so they'd still be a8 upon graduation and we'd benefit from having them home an extra year. Our kids are bright and we feel we must be carful to project the intentions in a positive light - we will be going deeper into subject matters, etc. Edited September 7, 2011 by Robbin Wanted to clarify reasons for the question in hopes of getting suppotive answers. Thank you!
